Tax-Free Gifts to Charities..LAST CHANCE!
Did
you know you can make a tax free gift from your IRA? In 2006, the
Pension Protection Act included a provision that allows IRA owners 70
1/2 and older to make a tax-free direct gift of up to $100,000 from
their IRA to qualifying charities for the years 2006 and 2007. These
distributions, that satisfy your minimum mandatory distribution
requirements, are tax free because you don't claim the distribution as
taxable income. Did you know that the Coastal Bend Wildlife Photo
Contest is a qualified charity? Make your gift today.
Also,
don't forget that appreciated stock can be donated to the Coastal Bend
Wildlife Photo Contest, avoiding the capital gains tax completely. As
always, talk to your CPA or financial planner.
