Wild at the Rodeo

The Coastal Bend Benefactors' Wildlife Photo Exhibit went for a WILD ride to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo!  Thanks to landowner Mitchell Dale, we were invited to showcase the true beauty of the Coastal Bend at the Ranching and Wildlife Expo March 5-9.  Folks were amazed at the talent and dedication of each photographer and the beauty that each landowner foster on their property.  We had visitors from around the world stop to admire and learn from each photograph.  Again...photographers and landowners- THIS is where all that hard work pays off as we are able to educate and inspire others to protect the wildlife and habitat of this great state.  Thank You!

Symposium: Ranch Nature Photography for Fun and Profit

The Images for Conservation Fund and Texas Agrilife Extension, in conjunction with Texas Parks & Wildlife Dept, will present the Nature Photography Symposium: Ranch Nature Photography for Fun and Profit March 29th in Kingsville.  This symposium is designed to educate both area amature and professional photographers as well as landowners throughout the Coastal Bend on the details involved in developing dynamic settings on private land for optimal photography.

The symposium will begin with a morning session that both the landowners and photographers will attend to learn about the industry of photo tourism.  Following a networking lunch, the afternoon session will target the two groups separately.  The photographers will learn techniques for capturing and editing images from award-winning photographers while the landowners will learn about marketing and planning from experienced landowners and tourism experts.

The symposium will be held 8:30 am - 3:00 pm, March 29th at the Texas A&M Univerisity-Kingsville Student Union Building.  Admission is $75 and includes lunch.  You can register by calling Ellen Kinsey at (917)557-6175 or follow the link at the bottom of the article.
