Kleberg Jr. and Helen C. Kleberg Foundation), Benavides Elementary School (The Robert J. Kleberg Jr. and Helen C. Kleberg Foundation), Jackson/Roosevelt School in Port Lavaca (The Robert J. Kleberg Jr. and Helen C. Kleberg Foundation), Our Lady of the Gulf in Port Lavaca (Calhoun County - Port Lavaca Board of Realtors), Blessing Elementary (The Trull Foundation), and Tidehaven Intermediate School (The Trull Foundation).

The LOTE project is a collaboration of environmental programs intertwined to provide a weeklong summer academy for elementary teachers. By combining all of these resources into one program, the Learning on the Edge (LOTE) summer academy, sponsored by The Coastal Bend Bays & Estuaries Program, seeks to provide teachers the tools needed to successfully teach science and promote student awareness of local ecology and environmental issues affecting the bays and estuaries.
